Welcome to my website. Your interest in this site may reflect your concern for your emotional health or that of someone close to you. Most of us experience troubles and worries at some time in our lives. Many people find relief by talking with a trained professional, like me, who listens. I practice psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis and work with people who struggle with anxiety and depression.
What is Anxiety? It is chronic worry often without an obvious source. Anxiety may be constant and you may not know what you are anxious about. Panic attacks, post traumatic stress, phobias and obsessive - compulsive behavior are forms of anxiety.
What is depression? Depression is a condition in which a person feels sad, discouraged, or hopeless about life. The sadness may not be constant but instead may rise in intensity and then diminish – those swings can add to the depression because of their unpredictability. Major depression, persistent depression and bipolar disorder are forms of the condition.
Even though the hopelessness may seem permanent, it is not! With the right treatment, you can feel better. People find relief by talking with a trained professional, like me, who listens. Our therapeutic relationship is an important part of your care.
